I Feel Like I Should Clean The House So I Am Going To My Sewing Room To Play Until The Feeling Passes Hoodie
There’s something about the sound of fabric against fabric that just feels really soothing. Whether it’s because you can focus better when you’re sewing by yourself or you just enjoy the process, many sewers find themselves drawn to their sewing rooms at some point. If you find yourself feeling this way too often, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to use your sewing room without having to clean it first! Here are three ideas to get you started: 1. Sew your own clothes. This is probably the most obvious option and it’s definitely one of the most fun. Not only will you have a wardrobe full of your own creations, but you’ll also be able to save money by not having to buy clothes from stores. 2. Sew for charity. Giving back is a good thing, and sewing for charity can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Not only do you get to make new clothes for people in need, but you can also learn a lot about different fabrics and how they’re used. 3. Sew for pleasure. Sewing for pleasure doesn’t have to mean making clothing—you can also sew blankets, pillowcases
What is the Feeling?
The feeling I am having right now is one of indecision. On the one hand, I feel like I should clean the house; on the other hand, I feel like playing video games. The thing is, I really can’t seem to make up my mind which option to choose. Maybe if I wait a little longer the feeling will pass? Who knows…
What Causes the Feeling?
There is no single answer to this question as everyone experiences the feeling differently. However, some possible causes of the feeling may include: feeling overwhelmed or stressed
not being able to focus on anything else
feeling like you have a lot of work to do
having too much on your mind
not being able to get out of bed or FPSs
tiredness or fatigue.
What to Do to Get rid of the Feeling?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed and like you need to clean something or do something else to get the feeling out, below are some things that may help:
-Take a break: If you can, take a break from what’s stressing you out. Maybe step away from the situation or take a 10-15 minute walk. This will help clear your head and let the stress start dissipating.
-Do something calming: If cleaning is stressing you out, try doing something calming beforehand like taking a hot bath or reading your favorite book. This will help set the mood for when you actually start cleaning.
-Focus on one task: If it’s hard to focus on anything else but the cleaning, try focusing on one task at a time. That way, if it does become overwhelming, you can still complete the task without feeling stressed out.
Conclusion
So, you’ve been told by a loved one or friend that you should clean your house. Um, okay. But first, before I go anywhere else in my home, I’m going to go to my sewing room and play some video games until the cleaning feeling passes. #noswept
